Dynamic reactive power compensation, also known as SVG, responds to changing operating conditions.

What power factor means.

Power factor relates active power to apparent power. Reactive power and waveform distortion must be distinguished when assessing an installation.

What the compensator does.

The equipment supplies inductive or capacitive compensation current within its limits. It can be considered where reactive demand changes and existing compensation does not follow the load adequately.

Assess the whole installation.

Share load information, operating records and the existing compensation arrangement. Replacing a capacitor bank requires project-specific sizing and integration checks. The main function of SVG differs from harmonic filtering.
